This young duo is made up of two young performers, Antonio Cánovas (saxophone) and Elena Miguélez (piano). This chamber music grouping was formed with the intention of spreading the extensive chamber music repertoire for saxophone and piano and as a result of this they have given numerous concerts and recitals, both in Spain and abroad. Notable examples of their concerts abroad have been: London (Trinity College of Music), Cardiff (Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama), Groningen in the Netherlands (Prince Claus Conservatoire), Antwerp in Belgium (Royal Conservatory of Music) and Naples in Italy (Conservatorio di Musica "San Pietro a Majella"). Among their concerts in Spain, we could highlight the XXVI Festival of Spanish Music in León, their concert in Guadalajara (Castilla La Mancha), organised by « Mujeres en la Música », the First European Saxophone Congress (Ciudad-Real), the Almería Philharmonic Society, the Ávila Philharmonic, the Eutherpe Foundation of León, the XVII COMA Festival of Contemporary Music in Madrid, 2015, their concert in Águilas (Murcia) in the International “Sax & Sun” Saxophone Course and finally their concerts in Oviedo (in the “Príncipe Felipe” Auditorium, in the Asturias Museum of Fine Arts and in the Higher Music Conservatory).
