Elena was the proud winner of the Fourth 'Gerardo Diego' piano competition, organized by the Círculo Amistad Numancia. Participating with a repertoire consisting of works of Debussy, Ravel, Haydn, Schubert, Bach and Álbeniz, she managed to stay ahead of her competition of nine other pianists. She also received the price for being the best classified pianist from Castilla and León.
